Jimbaran is a small but exquisite town in South Bali, between Kuta and the Bukit Peninsula and just 15 minutes away from Ngurah Rai Airport. Bali is generally warm throughout the year, however the best time of year to visit most of Indonesia is April to October. There tends to be more rain during the rest of the year, although there is never really a bad time to travel as these are usually brief, tropical downpours bringing benefits as the countryside comes to life with lush vegetation.
Jimbaran Bay is fringed by one of the best beaches in Bali. The sand is fine and white, and the calm waters make it an excellent area for swimming, children and adults alike. The southern end of the beach is the quietest and most secluded but the whole stretch makes for stunningly beautiful scenery.
Eating seafood on the beach in Jimbaran is a quintessential part of many a visitor's itinerary when coming to Bali and Jimbaran Bay is home to about fifty grilled seafood restaurants, all set along the beach.
