Phuket is one of the southern provinces of Thailand, the largest island just off the northwest coast, and is the most popular island among visitors to Thailand. The weather is typically hot and humid all year round, courtesy of it's tropical placement in the Indian Ocean. The best temperatures are to be found during travel between November and February when the heat is generally more tolerable likened to temperatures in Florida, although amusingly, the locals consider this to be the 'cool' season.
The beaches of Phuket are some of the best in the world with breathtaking scenery and vivid colourful imagery which adds to the slightly surreal experience. With perfect white sands and clear turquoise waters
Nightlife in Phuket is varied and wild, ranging from the über-cool discotheques in Soi Bangla complete with rooftop terrace to the famous killer pool bars of Patong in which one can also partake in a game of 'hammer the nail into the log' which is obviously all the more amusing the more drinks one has consumed.
